 This display was held on Sunday the 10th August 2008 at Camira Greencross vet at Camira . The day was hosted by Helen, one of the vets there. Jo, Michael and Binnie had a displayup and represented BARN for the day. We had a tawny frogmouth, a ringtail and brushtail possum and a blue tongue on display. We also had T-shirts for sale, donation tins, copies of our newsletters, brochures and pictures of wildlife on display. Helen from Camira vet helped us out with donating a hamper to raffle as a door prize. The vets helped us out enormously by helping out with donations and raffles etc to help BARN out with much needed funds! We found it to be a very enjoyable day, where there was a lot of people who shared the same love as us caring for animals. Overall the day was very beneficial where we could educate members of the public about wildlife and being aware of dangers for our wildlife and how to help. I would highly encourage anyone to volunteer themselves for a day to assist with displays. It is a great experience where you get to meet new people, share your ideas and passions with likeminded people. BARN would also like to thank the vets at Camira for their great support and help on the day of display and of course any other time with the animals. Thank you! |
